Hovel // Ideanator is in beta. It is meant to help people think through ideas, drafts, products, books, inventions, services, and messy concepts. It is not finished, and it should not be treated like a professional, legal, financial, medical, or patent opinion.
1. This is a beta test
Things may break, look strange, give imperfect answers, or change without warning. Your feedback helps improve the tool.
2. Do not upload sensitive material yet
Please do not upload private medical records, financial records, legal documents, passwords, social security numbers, trade secrets, confidential business documents, or anything you would not want used in a beta test.
3. Local-mode storage
This version saves projects on your current device and browser. If you clear browser storage, switch devices, or use private browsing, your saved local projects may disappear.
4. AI can be wrong
The five-pass review can help organize, challenge, and improve ideas, but it can misunderstand things, miss context, or make confident mistakes. You are responsible for checking important claims.
5. Patent Professor is not legal advice
The Patent Professor gives a plain-English starting point for originality and protectability thinking. It is not a patent attorney, does not perform a complete prior-art search, and does not tell you whether you legally own or can patent something.
6. Exports are working drafts
Downloaded reports, Word-readable files, Markdown files, notebook HTML, and printed PDFs are working drafts. Review them before sharing, filing, pitching, publishing, or relying on them.
7. Feedback is welcome
If something confuses you, breaks, looks ugly, or gives a bad answer, tell Tom what happened, what you expected, and what you were trying to do.
